This isn't really a post more than to tell you all about myself a little bit. I truly believe in walking by faith. Paul said in 2 Cor 5:7 (For we walk by faith, not by sight:). I've been going so out there lately, I mean OUT THERE. I'm not bragging by any mean. I'm going to try to explain how God has blessed me.
I don't have a job at the current time and there's no where really around here to get a job, In all seriousness there isn't. I work little side jobs like for someone I"ll do a little something. And I prayed one day and God told me, "Show me how much you love me, and show me how dedicated you are to me." So I got to thinking. How am I going to do this? Then one day my pastor preached on tithes one day. So I decided. I'm upping my tithes to 20% and I'll give to every offering I have money in my pocket for. So I started getting more money coming in from small jobs. I still don't have a full time job yet. But I haven't had need for anything.
But to explain how much I walk by faith. In the next 2 days I have to go pick up a friend from his fathers, and I have to drive a ways. I have NO money in my pocket but I'm trusting God to give me some way to make the money in the next day or two. I truly had the money. I worked all last week for a man installing insulation and For the time I put in I got paid a decent amount of money, and he wrote me a check. and I couldn't cash it till the Monday(today) and Yesterday I was sitting in youth service and we were talking about getting a new bus, and I really felt it on my heart to give every bit of that money to the bus fund. So after thinking about it and praying quietly for a little bit I decided I needed to do it if that's what God wants. So gladly I signed the check and handed it over. I now am broke. But I know God is going to bless it.
I truly believe what Jesus said:
Matt 6:30-34
30 Wherefore, if God so clothe the grass of the field, which to day is, and to morrow is cast into the oven, shall he not much more clothe you, O ye of little faith?
31 Therefore take no thought, saying, What shall we eat? or, What shall we drink? or, Wherewithal shall we be clothed?
32(For after all these things do the Gentiles seek:) for your heavenly Father knoweth that ye have need of all these things.
33 But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you.
34 Take therefore no thought for the morrow: for the morrow shall take thought for the things of itself. Sufficient unto the day is the evil thereof.
KJV
I'm not asking for anything, and I'm not bragging by any means. But I want to tell you something, I believe here soon I'll have a good paying full time Job that will allow me my time to do things for God. I believe God is going to open the doors. And I know it's my job to make the step through the door, and also to pay attention to when the door is opened. But I encourage you all to walk more by faith. I'm not trying to tell you to give all your money to the church. But God gives you all of it. If it wasn't for God, you wouldn't have any of that money. Is 10% really fair? And how blessed do you wanna be?
Yours in Christ!
